In a constantly shifting investment landscape, staying informed is essential. That's why I'm launching The Daily Ledger - a new series that doesn't just report the most interesting investment news, but breaks down what it might mean for institutional investors.

In true consulting fashion, I thought I'd introduce this series using the trusty 5 Ws:
Who is this for?
The Daily Ledger is designed for anyone in (or curious about) the institutional investment world.
What is it?
Every day, I’ll publish a quick and focused roundup of a few major developments in the investment world. It's worthing pointing out that the five developments I pick will likely be heavily skewed towards I find the most interesting, and potentially might not necessarily be the most impactful developments.
Instead of just reporting headlines, I’ll attempt to break down what each event means for institutional investors—across pensions, endowments, charities, and other sophisticated asset owners.
The developments I report will highlight things such as:
Key macroeconomic events
Market shifts
Asset class trends
Manager activity
Regulatory updates
…and always with a consulting lens, i.e. What does this mean for portfolios and strategic decision-making?
When will it be published?
A new edition will be posted every day, covering the major news and trends from the previous day.
Where can you find it?
Right here on The Private Ledger.
Why am I launching this?
Investment consulting is about more than just understanding markets—it’s about helping clients navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.
As someone who is looking to pivot a career in this industry (read about me here), I wanted a way to:
Deepen my own understanding of how global events shape institutional portfolios
Share those insights with a wider community
Showcase strategic thinking beyond the day-to-day news cycle
📌 First Edition Drops 14th May 2025
Stay tuned for the first instalment of The Ledger Daily coming soon.
